Branching the genome
When I started this blog I wanted to keep away all personal entries, but this is one of the few times where I’ll permit myself to break that rule. I can’t express how happy I am that on Friday the 13th (yeah I know), February 2009 our second baby was born at 2:49am! A beautiful baby boy, weighing in at 3230 grams and 49 centimeters tall :-) Our 22 month old son is now a really proud big brother and me and my wife are ecstatic to have become a family of four!
Just to stay slightly on the inside of the rule I’ll give you an update on my MEF project. I was planning on releasing Preview 1 of the provide model the weekend that just passed but the birth of my son sort of put a wrench in that. I spent the past week cleaning up the code and adding about 150 unit tests. I also did a spike on adding a third provider, this time a replacement for the attributed definition model shipped by the MEF team. With less than 200 lines of code I managed to get an attributed provider into Preview 1 :-)
I’ll try and get the bits out as soon as possible! I’m really looking forward to being able to share this with you as part of the MEF Contrib project and getting your feedback and suggestions.
